A successful brochure is one that is “worth keeping.” Capital Consulting’s production staff can provide you with a brochure that is eye-catching; succinctly and simply conveys key content; and, most of all, is a product that your target audience will hold on to for future reference.
In designing your brochure, our team will provide you with a product that:
- Passes the Brochure Rack Test – The front panel will be visually eye-catching, and your organization name can be easily seen.
- Is Customer-Centric – This means not merely having the content focused on the user’s needs but also that the photos and graphics selected are representative of the target community.
- Conveys the 5 Ws and H – Brochure content will tell your audience the who, what, when, where, why and how of your organization and its work.
- Does Not Become Quickly Dated – We evaluate content to be sure that there isn’t information that will become dated. Providing a weblink ensures that more specific information can be provided as needed.
- Is Downloadable – In addition to ensuring an eye-catching design and professional finish for hard copy versions, Capital Consulting’s production team will make sure that your brochure can easily be downloaded by the user in an electronic format.
The Comprehensive Proteogenomics Resource Brochure
CLIENT: Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH)
PROJECT: Production Support for the Clinical Proteomics Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC)
PRODUCT: The Comprehensive Proteogenomics Resource
The Center for Strategic Scientific Initiatives (CSSI) is a research office of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). CSSI acts as a concept shop for the NCI, investing in exploratory research and creating opportunities for researchers through the development of new science initiatives, tools, and public resources.
Capital Consulting has supported most of the CSSI offices and former offices, among them is the Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR). The mission of NCI’s Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR) is to improve prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer by enhancing the understanding of the molecular mechanisms of cancer, advance proteome and proteogenome science and technology development through community resources (data and reagent), and accelerate the translation of molecular findings into the clinic. This is achieved through OCCPR-supported programs such as the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) is a national effort to accelerate the understanding of the molecular basis of cancer through the application of large-scale proteome and genome analysis, or proteogenomics.
Capital Consulting formatted, and designed this programmatic brochure to be used for promotional materials for the program.

The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), a landmark cancer genomics program, molecularly characterized over 20,000 primary cancer and matched normal samples spanning 33 cancer types. This joint effort between the National Cancer Institute and the National Human Genome Research Institute began in 2006, bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines and multiple institutions.
Over the next dozen years, TCGA generated over 2.5 petabytes of genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. The data, which has already lead to improvements in our ability to diagnose, treat, and prevent cancer, will remain publicly available for anyone in the research community to use.
Capital Consulting edited, formatted, and designed cover images/graphics and printed this booklet for distribution to highlight the beginning of The Cancer Genome Atlas project.
